Terms of service
Last updated 30 September 2026 · Private preview
These terms are an agreement between you and Seeking Gradient LLC ("we"), a California limited liability company, for the use of the Cloud Window website and, if you have been invited, a Cloud Window computer. By requesting an invite or using a computer, you agree to them.
The service
A Cloud Window computer is a virtual Linux machine that we run for you, with the Cloud Window desktop installed. You control what runs on it. During the private preview, computers are provided free of charge, by invitation, to a small number of people, so that we can learn what works.
What you get in the preview, and what you do not
- Your computer is meant to stay on, but the preview has no uptime guarantee. Machines may be restarted, moved or retired, and the preview may end, with reasonable notice where we can give it.
- Your disk is snapshotted daily by the hosting provider. Until independent backups exist, you are responsible for keeping copies of anything important.
- Support is by email at support@getcloudwindow.com, on a best-effort basis.
- Model usage is not included. Claude Code, Codex and voice use your own accounts with those providers, under their terms.
Paid plans
Nothing is charged during the preview. Before any paid plan starts, we will show you the price, what it includes, and how to cancel, and you will have to agree to it explicitly. These terms will be updated with refund and cancellation rules at that point.
Your account and your computer
- You must be 18 or older and give us a working email address. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Your computer's contents are yours. You keep every right to the files, code and data on it, and you grant us only what is needed to store, back up and run it.
- You are responsible for what your computer does, including what agents do on it with your permission, and for complying with the acceptable-use policy.
- We hold administrative access to the servers your computer runs on and use it only to operate the service, to help you when you ask, or when required by law, as the privacy policy describes.
Ending things
You can stop at any time by asking us to close your account. We can suspend or retire a computer if it breaks the acceptable-use policy, endangers other customers or the service, or if our hosting provider requires it; we will tell you why. When an account closes, its disk and backups are deleted within 30 days, and you can ask for a copy of your files before then.
Liability
The preview is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost profits or indirect damages arising from the preview, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us, which during the preview is nothing. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; the date at the top changes and account holders are emailed about material changes. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and disputes are resolved in the courts of California.
